With the arrival of coronavirus in Springfield, we are taking steps to protect clients and staff, both at Robison Service and the Springfield Automotive Complex. Many of you think of us just as Robison Service - a high end car shop - but our complex is also home to general repair shops Tech and Line Right . We are also the base for our city's backup emergency ambulance services, run by our partners Action EMS.
As an emergency support complex for our city, we will not close. However, beginning immediately, we will be practicing "social distancing" as recommended by our CDC. We will keep a minimum of six feet from people for all interactions. We will keep face to face contact to a minimum. For our mutual safety, we ask clients to drop off and pick up work; we will not be doing any "while you wait" service until this pandemic abates.
For safety, we can process all major credit cards by phone, and we will be wiping down contact surfaces on cars before and after service. We will report findings as we generally do by phone and email. When you drop off a car be sure to leave contact into including email.
For the time being, Tech will still do MA safety inspections on a walk-in basis.
We have seen many ups and downs in our 30 years in this city, but this is unprecedented. That said, we will get through this together. It is our intention to continue serving motorists in the Springfield area, tomorrow and for the foreseeable future.
Restoration work in the shop will continue though there are disruptions in parts supply from Europe and Asia. Our ambulance base is fully operational, and the Action EMS units are on duty as the city and public expects. We intend to do our best to keep that situation stable.
If you wish to drop a car for service there are key drops in the garage door, and we can be reached at 413-785-1665 or at robison@robisonservice.com Clients of Line Right can reach Tony at 413-731-5006. Richard at Tech is at 413-781-6233
Keep safe, everyone
