Rolls Royce and Bentley in the 80s and 90s from Richard Vaughan

Some of you know my friend Richard Vaughan from his work with the Rolls-Royce Club of America.  Others know him for his interests in other classic marques.  Richard has authored a number of books on collector cars, the newest of which is Rolls-Royce and Bentley in the 80s and 90s.

If you are interested in this period of Crewe history - especially if you are fascinated by the details of these cars - this is a book you want to have.  I am reasonably knowledgable about Rolls-Royce having been a service manager for them, for 30 years, but I read things I hadn't known on almost every page.

I like reading books from people with different perspectives and being autistic, I am fascinated by little details.  Richard is a car designer whereas I am an engineer, and his design-oriented observations are fresh and important to anyone who wants to restore one of these cars, or know what one has in a special edition.

This is also a book for people who wish to dream. . . Richard has hundreds of photos of the cars Rolls-Royce built for the Sultan of Brunei and his family, and other coach building projects over the years.

This book is the best reference I have seen for someone who wants to know what changed from year to year, or how all the little details looked.  That makes it an invaluable reference for classic car judges, restorers and collectors.
