My son Jack was on hand to help pull cars around, and he took the car club members for rides around South Amherst. We pulled the Corniche convertible out for the first time since last fall, and he even took a carload to the gas station. This is their story:

you are so generous, john. this will no doubt be an experience those kids will never forget.
You have wonderful toys! So glad that you also share your love of fine autos with the next generation. But your collection! Dang! My Range Rover and 71 Skylark seem pitiful in comparison. You have given me a goal, I must seek out fine wheeled pieces of art from the UK, one is not enough. Woof.
What jess said--not a hands-off museum, not pictures in a book, but the real thing, working transport, touch, smell, sound, the whole magilla. Today will definitely be something those guys remember! :)
I think I would have had fun, if I were a kid . . . all those cars are vehicles I have personally restored. So, yes, it was neat.

i recognize that gas station it was about a mile or so from our house off of pelham road.

Your typo (he bought some of his friends) reminds me of a programmer I used to work with. I am always mixing up the words I use when I talk. I often say words I don't mean to say - with some rather humorous results. The programmer found it humorous and enjoyed telling me that I made a mistake. It proves a point to me that if you say it in the right spirit you can point out someone's mistakes and no feelings are hurt (mostly).
